On a round trip from cosmopolitan Bengaluru (Bangalore), the luxurious Golden Chariot train travels through Mysore, Srirangapatna, the scenic Nagarhole National Park, the historical sites around Belur, the world heritage sites near Hampi and Pattadakal, and the golden beaches of Goa. Visit some of the earliest settlements in peninsular India and explore the dramatic 15th-century ruins of the Vijayanagar empire near Hampi.

    Day 01 : Bangalore

    Guests meet in the lobby of Hotel Taj West End for Check-In formalities of Golden Chariot train, followed by high tea & brief train tour presentation. Afterwards they are invited to visit Chitrakala Parishad / Art Gallery ,followed by a cultural program. In the evening guests will meet at Yeshwantpur Railway Station, Platform No. 6 for a traditional Indian welcome at the Railway Station and escorted to respective cabins of the train.

    Day 02 : Drive Mysore/Kabini Lodge

    Today guests leave Mysore Railway station with overnight clothes for stay at Forest Lodge Near Nagarhole Tiger Reserve. Reaching Kabini Forest in the early afternoon and check in at the Govt Jungle Lodge. After Lunch, guests will be invited to go on a jungle excursion/boat ride. Returning in the evening for wildlife film. Dinner and tonight's accommodation is at the Jungle Lodge.

    Day 03 : Mysore

    An early morning boat ride into the Jungle before breakfast starts the day. After breakfast back at the Jungle Lodge guests return to Mysore Station boarding the Golden Chariot. In the afternoon you will visit Mysore Palace and Srirangapatnam Fort with a Cultural show and dinner at Lalita Mahal Palace Hotel before once again joining the train.

    Day 04 : Jain Monolith & Hosalya Temple Architecture

    This morning you will arrive into Hassan Railway Station and go sight seeing to Shravanabelagola. (Please note that you would have to climb close to 700 steps to experience the architectural marvel. Only those who can undertake this are advised to do so. Guests unwilling to experience can stay back on board The Golden Chariot. Palanquins are available for those who cannot take the climb by themselves. Lunch is back on board the train which take syou to Belur and Halebid for some more sightseeing before the train then takes you to Hospet overnight.

    Day 05 : Hampi Temples & Vijayanagara Palace

    After breakfast you depart for Hampi where you will get to experience the majesty of the Virupaksha Temple. Queens’s Bath, and Elephant Stables, as well as visit a local crafts bazaar. In the afternoon you will be able to visit the Royal enclosure, Hazara Rama Temple. and wonderful Illuminated Vittala Temple.

    Day 06 : Badami Caves & Pattadakal Temples

    Today your train arrives at Badami Railway station where in the morning you will get the chance to experience the Badami Caves and Pattadakal. In the afternoon and back on board the Golden Chariot the train begins its journey to Goa whisking you in complete comfort through the picturesque landscapes of western India.

    Day 07 : Sunday : Goa

    Having reached Goa in the early hours of the morning, today the train will pause here allowing you to visit the famous churches of old Goa and an old Portuguese house: Sola Souto Maior for tea/coffee and cookies do some shopping at the emporium. This afternoon will be spent at the Majorda Beach Resort where you can enjoy the Hotels many facilities including the spa, casino and pool. Before returning to the train and departing for Bangalore.

    Day 08 : Bangalore Return

    The final day of the tour sees you return from whence you started at Yashwantpura Railway station by lunchtime and unfortunately that is the end you return home full of memories and experiences you will never forget.

    The Interiors of the passenger Saloon are inspired by the intricately carved Hosalya temple architecture dating back to 12th century. Within a total 44 cabins in 11 inter-connected saloons are combination of 26 Twin Bedded Cabins,17 Double bedded Cabins & One Cabin for Physically Challenged. Each cabin offers a surprising amount of personal space where you can rest and relax before and after the days excursions.

    The interiors of the Two Dining Cars (called Nala & Ruchi) are inspired by the royal aesthetics of Hampi & Halebid temples. There is a wide spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian culinary delights available.

    The plush & royal interiors of the Cigar Bar Lounge (called Madira) are modelled after the early 20th century Mysore Palace.
